WTN: Tin Horn Creek Cabernet Franc 2005

by Bruce Hayes » Sun Jul 06, 2008 5:55 pm

Okanagan Valley.

A Vancouver-based friend visited our cottage this weekend and brought this as a gift.

Spicy nose, loads of dill.

Medium weight, great mouthfeel (smooth, warm and caressing), smoky, roasted meats, dill, chocolate, black cherry, blackberries, some slight vegginess.

A very nice wine, enjoyed with BBQ and salads, on the deck at the cottage.

Screwcap closure.

I wish I could get more Okanagan wines down this way! I think I've been able to find one, ever, at local retail.

Don't feel bad Robin, we don't get a lot even in Ontario. What we do get is the "everyday" stuff.
