Finca Flichman.
The novelty with this wine is that 50 percent of the grapes are sourced from vineyards planted at 700 metres in the sub-region of Barrancas and the other half are from vineyards planted at 1100 metres in Tupungato.
Dark purple in the glass.
Floral, sweet, smoky nose.
Raspberry, blueberry, rather weighty, a little brambly, rather lean flavours, some alcohol shrillness and hardness toward the end. I kept waiting for time and air exposure to smooth the wine out, but it never really got there. It came tantalizingly close to being a good wine, but never made it and was unable to shake off the roughness and alcohol burn. I stuck with the wine, hoping it would improve, while my (much smarter) wife, took a few sips and suggested that "They should have gone higher" regarding the elevation of the vineyards!! Everyone's a comedian.

Purchased at $15.95 (Canadian).
