Tried last night w/ dinner:
1. Casa de la Ermita Dd'O: Jumilla Viognier (12.5%; "tropical fruits/orange blossom/pear/pineapple/thyme:; ElCarcheMtn: 250 m elevation) 2006: Light yellow color; rather earthy/Albarino-like/perfumed valve oil/minerally quite light nose; very light/almost no weak pear/Viog earthy vaguely fruity flavor; very short soft/flabby watery vaguely fruity finish; dull as dishwater which insults some dishwaters I've tasted; no Viognier character that I can identify; boooorrrrring. $18.00

And a wee BloodyPulpit:
1. Don't think I've tried a Viognier from Spain before, and certainly not one from Jumilla; so I was tempted to take a flyer on this wine. MeBad. Based on extrapolations from the data point of one; Viognier has no future in Spain.
The tasting notes on the label are...creative....imaginary.
