I don't remember being much of a fan of Rose. It always seemed to have the worst characteristics of red and white combined, rather than the best. It's been years since I drank anyway. However, with my newfound interest in wine, I thought it was about time I gave it another try.
======
It smells of - astonishingly little, really. A slight hint of undergrowth, nothing more.
On the palate it bursts into life with delicate fruit flavours of strawberry and cherry underlined by some of those classic Pinot notes of autumn leaves. And all this is then wiped off the tongue by excessive acidity. The leafy notes just about survive into the finish, which does linger quite a while.
2/5, and it wasn't a cheap drop, either.

I probably ought to try another Rose before I give up completely. But this really wasn't the best advertisement.
