2003 Mugneret-Gibourg Bourgogne - France, Burgundy, Bourgogne (7/26/2008)
2003 is controversial, but this Bourgogne is delicious. Deep black cherry fruit dominates the wine, but it's neither candied nor boring, as it eventually open up to be framed by proper balancing acidity, making it a lovely food partner (grilled sockeye salmon in this case) & with its effusive fruitiness an enjoyable drop on its own.
