WTN: '06 Anthony Road Semi-dry Riesling

2006 Anthony Road, Semi-dry, Finger Lakes, Riesling ($13.99). Alcohol level is 12.2% and the R.S. is 1.9. The R.S. is the same as some others' regular bottlings.

It gives you flowers and citrus on the nose and upfront. In the middle additional fruit includes soft pear and limes, along with a touch of petrol and minerality, and a crisp note of acidity. It finished lovely.

We matched it with charcoal grilled lemon/pepper chicken breast, Bordeaux rolls, and salad. Heady Saturday night dinner after a short hike in the White Mountains.

Sounds like a very nice wine. Did you buy it in New Hampshire?

Bought it and another at Bremmer's in Utica, NY last may. Beverly has to go over there twice a year to see a doctor, and when we don't have enough time to get over the Lakes, we just hit Bremmer's.
