In the past two weeks I've had two bottles of 2007 Robert Weil Kiedricher Grafenberg Riesling Kabinett Trocken and both were leaning towards the sour, unfocused, and confused side. There were some hints of an underlying mineral spine, but after opening the second bottle to disappointment I decided that the third bottle should go well into the cellar to see if anything better might emerge with time and for those of you with bottles I would encourage the same.
Of course, in reality I am not sure if anything better will emerge with time. I know it may be a bit early for some of these 07 rieslings to show everything, but this is 'only' a kabinett and many of the 07 kabinetts I tasted back in June seemed to be showing well enough.
Another 'wait and see'.
