Medium cherry red in the glass.
An interesting nose: very smoky, chocolate, a hint of vegginess and something I can only describe as menthol.
Medium weight, rich and almost stewed black cherry, blackberry and raspberry, spicy, silky, rather tangy, some bitterness, intense flavours, a leaner structure than I had been expecting.
An interesting and enjoyable wine.
