Registration Policy - Important

This is just a reminder that, as noted on the registration page, here at WLDG we have a Real Name Real Format policy. We do not activate "screen names" or "handles." User names must be in the format John Doe or John D. Registrations with first name only will not be activated.

Registering with a conforming user name makes the process of getting activated fast and painless!

If you have tried to register with a non-conforming user name and have not been activated, this is undoubtedly the reason. Please contact me at wldg.admin@gmail.com, letting me know what user name you registered under so that I can find your account. Also make sure you tell me what your Real Name is so that your user name can be corrected and we can welcome you to WLDG!

Cyn, this policy has been in effect for a long long time, and is one that I whole heartedly approve. It is the one we had in the first iteration of WLDG, then it went away with the advent of Netscape, and came back when this forum was begun. It is my opinion, that a real name makes for a more friendly home type forum, we feel like family when we feel that we know our forumites. Thanks for posting this reminder.

Mike, the location feature is optional - I'm not comfortable *requiring* folks to give away what some might consider private information beyond real names - but you'll notice that more of us use the location feature than don't ... and anyone who'd like to add their location but doesn't know how, just pipe up!
