Hi guys,
From today's Sud-Ouest:
"Bahans Haut Brion" - named after a family that once owned an adjoining vineyard later assimilated into Haut Brion - will be called "Clarence de Haut Brion" in honor of Clarence Dillon, the American banker who bought Haut Brion in 1935.
This change will take effect starting with the 2007 vintage.
Furthermore, also starting in the 2007 vintage, Clarence de Haut Brion will be put into the special Haut Brion bottle.
Prince Robert de Luxembourg has just become chairman of the board of Domaine Clarence Dillon, taking over from his mother Joan, Duchesse de Mouchy who had held this position from 1975.
In 2006, company had a net profit of 6.6 million euros for a turnover of 25.7 million euros.
They also have an equity capital of 119 million euros. Perhaps the Domaine will be growing soon?
Best regards,
Alex R.
