Anyone else seen this from Bordeaux?

Saw it back in 2005 at Vinexpo in Bordeaux when owner Jean Guyon presented this wine (and Tour Haut Caussan) in pink Prada designed 3-liter boxes. In fact, his stand was totally made up from these boxes: a truly pinkish eye-catcher  I asked him about the keeping qualities. "The manufacturer guarantees 15 months from filling, and 6 months after opening."

My last taste of the 1990 Tour Haut Caussan (from 750 rather than 3L!) was in December 2007, and I thought it had reached peak, after not being there yet in 2005. I'd be hoping or much longer than 15 months from a 3L, regardless of vintage.

I don't think I'd be looking to age anything in a BiB.
Canadian and American dollars are pretty much at parity these days, no? I think of RdB as a $15-20 wine, at least pre-'05.
Unlike bottles, where sometimes one pays a premium for bigger bottles due to aging potential, I'd expect a discount for 3 liters in a BiB. $60-70 US seems fair.

Bob, this is an idea whose time has come and gone without many producers doing it. I probably will not be buying at $80, but might at half that. I really am not up to buying many $20 bourgeois, but maybe when the euro and dollar gets closer together, but not now. I know there are lot of bourgeois in 750 that carry a $20 price tag, and I am not buying them either.

They are saving quite a lot of money on 4 corks, 4 bottles, the transport cost, etc. Still, far more environmentally friendly, and if it really lasts 6 months, much more convenient.

I agree Walt but is that really the reason for this method of packaging?
The 750ml is available everywhere I guess but I would think this 3 litre box might not be so evident on the same shelf?
I checked the website of Rollan de By and not a whisper about this B in a B. Strange?
