As an evil angry anarchist, is it a sin for me to still post tasting notes?

2005 Chateau Sorbey Haut Medoc.

Tasting notes from the distributor: http://www.intvin.com/fiches_techniques/Sorbey_TN.pdf

I liked this Cab/Merlot blend quite a lot...I think IntVin brings decent value French wines to the U.S.

This may be a ripe, somewhat international style wine, but to me at least it tastes nothing like California. Definitely dark, rich fruit, but a lot of savory herbal elements as well. I taste more chocolate than vanilla oak (contra the tasting note), but the tannins are actually pretty approachable at this point. Nice mid palate and finish, and despite the previous comment, there appears to be enough structure to age for a few years. Solid 89 points, great QPR at $18. Vive la France! :)
