I like it when a batch of wines turns out in unexpected ways, following convoluted paths along the journey from grapevines in the earth to satiated bliss during a meal. I bought 6 bottles of this as a pre-order of 1999 Bordeaux. First bottle was primary grapey goodness, the second and third bottles angry little rat bastards, the fourth a little hot, the fifth, better. And now on the last one, it is exquisite, transformed into the maturity of a graduate student. If I knew if would be so, I would have given more patience to the stash, but alas. Definately singing, tonight.

You must know some different grad students than I do, Mirabile. The ones I know make my 3-year old son look mature :D

(Sorry, Ryan!)
