Interesting clip of a talk by Feynman: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a6ck3rO_m3A

Who says science is dry and dusty? It can be poetic and awe inspiring also...

Very nice; I think my favorite part, though, is the sound of his voice, the accent, the quirkiness of it that's so personal.
I don't know just how I'm supposed to play this scene, but I ain't afraid to learn...

If you haven't read them, his two memoirs ("Surely You Must Be Joking..." and "What Do You Care...") are quite entertaining and enlightening. Then, you must follow them with "Genius" by James Gleick, his Feynman biography that debunks much of the self-constructed Feynman mythos. What emerges is a truly unique and fascinating character: an intellectual giant who considered himself a cosmic prankster, a top researcher who was also a committed and talented teacher, but who didn't bother staying abreast of the literature of his field and a marvelously complex figure who considered himself a simple, straightforward person.

Mark, I've read Genius and The Pleasure of Finding Things Out. How is QED - have you read that?
