11% alcohol
Pale color with transparency. Lemon zest and faint ammonia on the nose. A mineral note (suggesting limestone) and grapefruit on the palate. It has a tartness and crispness that is refreshing as a hot-weather drink. Nice, straightforward dry (or possibly slightly off-dry) Riesling that has restrained acidity. I paired with chicken tenders encrusted in crushed onion rings and baked in the oven. This would also pair nicely with batter-fried shrimp or a simple scallop dish. (In fact another evening I paired it with shrimp scampi and also sipped while I munched on Triscuits with cheddar cheese.)
