WTN: Two 05s - La Tour Carnet and Siran

Chateau La Tour Carnet 2005 - Extremely dark. On the nose, coffee and earth. The palate has some sweetness and milk chocolate. The finish is rather strong with prominent tannins, and some oakiness. There seemed to be a bit of acid sticking out but some air seemed to have integrated it. This is pretty complex but needs a few years to soften. Very good.

Chateau Siran 2005 - Deep violet. Not much on the nose. Initially, this was rather sweet and forward but later it seemed to shut down. Tannic. Not much complexity at this point. Definitely needs more time. Hard to judge now.
Three be the things I shall never attain:
Envy, content, and sufficient champagne.
