Following is my most recent tasting note for the wine in question.

Best
Rogov

Michele Chiarlo, Barolo, Toroniano, Piedmont, 2001: Not up to the standards of the this year's Canubio or the Cerequio from Chiarlo, but a very nice wine indeed and despite its youth, fully ready to drink. Medium- to full-bodied, with soft, gently mouth-coating tannins. Opens with spring flowers and blackberries, goes on to reveal red plums, raisins and an appealing meaty note. Generous but only medium in length. Drink now-2013. Score 89. (Re-tasted 27 May 2007)

Not yet, but worth the risk. I'm buying "name" here somewhat....

Even if it's an entry level bottling. M. Rogov's notes seem to parallel the consensus at Cellartracker. For $20, one can buy industrial wine from Sterling and the like. I like cheap Nebbiolo!
