WTN: Warm leftovers

2003 Erben von Beulwitz Kaseler Nies'chen Mosel-Saar-Ruwer Riesling Kabinett Halbtrocken (Ruwer, Mosel-Saar-Ruwer, Germany) cork closure, 12.5% - imported to USA by Dee Vine Wines, San Francisco, California – smell smoky rocks, pleasant, if a bit empty, taste is heavy tropical, lumbering, lots of smoke and minerals in finish, overall heavy and a bit flat, but for $5 from a bargain bin, it was an okay deal and an interesting opportunity for me to gauge how a warm vintage like 2003 fares over time.
