Mostly true. Same with Ontario. Most are sold either at the winery or locally. There is a large selection of both NY and Ont. wines available in local wine shops in the Buffalo area. Then again there is somewhat of an intimidation factor - taking wine to CA is like taking coal to Newcastle.Brian K Miller wrote:I understand the reverse is true-not too many off-beat California wines available on the East Coast, either.I'm guessing that New York (and Michigan) wines are small production and there is no real need/incentive to ship them across the country.
