SWMBO was agitating for vino with the weekly steak, so I rummaged about in the cellar and grabbed whatever looked like it needed drinking, and this Costieres de Nimes came to hand.

I couldn't recall why I'd bought it, but was glad that I had. Old vines Grencahe and Syrah, it had a nice medium colour, very nice berry nose, lots of middle palate punch and the tannin has now moderated nicely.

Wish I'd bought more than a few bottles!
