WTN: Cortes De Cima Chamine Red 2006

by Bruce Hayes » Sat Sep 27, 2008 2:22 pm

Vinho Regional Alentejano

A blend of Aragones and Syrah.

Medium dark cherry red in the glass.

Sweet, floral, spicy with some tea on the nose.

Medium weight, red licorice, very spicy, strawberry, raspberry, quite rich, floral, viscous, good acidity, a little sweet, with some bitterness toward the end.

A refreshing wine, which I find I don't say too often about a red. Quite unusual flavours as well.

Purchased at $14.95 (Canadian).
