WTN: 1994 Dönnhoff Oberhäuser Brücke Riesling Auslese

1994 Dönnhoff Oberhäuser Brücke Riesling Auslese - Germany, Nahe (9/27/2008)
You have got to be freaking kidding me. This wine has minerality, primary fruit, earthiness, salinity, acidity, creaminess, smokiness, riesling-ness & every other-ness that wine can have. Trying to write a description is like trying to count angels on the head of a pin. You just have to throw your head back and laugh.

Another collaborative note by David "Donnhoff is my middle name" Bueker & Salil "Oh my God...give me a moment with this wine" Benegal

That was an unbelievable wine (and I'm still at a loss to even try and describe it accurately). I had incredibly high expectations after you pulled that bottle out of the cellar, and it still blew them away. Truly ethereal.

Nice to read your enthusiastic notes, David. Another great wine from the magician of the Nahe. In fact I have a trocken of the same wine, or maybe a spätlese. I guess it is really time to open it now.
Cheers,
A

I would definitely open it, no matter what it is.
