Per, David's recommendation, I picked up my first Schmitt-Wagner from a local shop. Yum! One of those wines were a bottomless glass would be a mighty dangerous thing . . .
2005 Carl Schmitt-Wagner Longuicher Maximiner Herrenberg Mosel-Saar-Ruwer Riesling Kabinett (Mosel, Mosel-Saar-Ruwer, Germany) cork closure, 8% - a Terry Thiese selection imported to USA by Michael Skurnik wines – appears light clear gold, few clingers, smell vibrant fresh and a bit stony, mouthfeel is soft yet laserlike, flows great, taste refreshing wonderful mix of graham, lemon, and touch of rocks, clean and crisp finish, more toward lemon yet still light touch of honey, wonderful to quaff, yet there is no rush, dang this stuff is tasty, wish it were cheaper, but it does meet my expectations for bang per buck at $20. Better than the presidential debate it accompanied (no chardonnay-swilling liberals tonight!)
