This wine name won't fit entirely in the subject box.
1994 von Schubert - Maximin Grunhauser - Herrenberg - Auslese 45
Yellow-gold now, this wine from a rather ho-hum showing on release has really lost its edge from two years ago. Its nose has moved into full bore petrol with some simple apple and tangerine notes. Acids seem resolved and the wine quickly gives way upon warming to a nice waxy nectar of nectarine and orange. Barely sweet, a bit simple and underwhelming for the vintage. The last of two bottles.
