Very dark purple in the glass. Medicinal, earthy, spicy nose. Very thick, rich and intense, smoky, band aid notes, tarry, black cherry, bacon, leather, good tangy acidity. Tangy, medicinal (band aid) on the finish. A very impressive wine that went quite well with BBQ steaks. Purchased at $14.95 (Canadian).
Screwcap closure.

Bruce, this is a Graham Beck wine that I have seen on the shelves locally, and not tried yet. Not likely to as I am not too keen on the GB wines.

Took a look around the internet and it doesn't appear that Graham Beck bought out Boekenhoutskloof.
