2005 Cousiño-Macul Antiguas Reservas Cabernet Sauvignon 14%
Ruby red. Cherry and wet stone aromas. Medium body, blackberry and cloves, astringent, a bit hot before food. Comes into balance after food, and additional notes of chocolate and olives emerge. Respectable but undistinguished, though the entire table liked it a lot.

2005 Kracher Beerenauslese 12.5%
Peach, honey, acacia and botrytis nose. Delicious mouthfeel, perfectly balanced. Not overly complex, but extremely satisfying.
"I went on a rigorous diet that eliminated alcohol, fat and sugar. In two weeks, I lost 14 days." Tim Maia, Brazilian singer-songwriter.
