Piedmont

Dark red in the glass.

Tangy, smoky, charred notes on the nose.

Viscous, thick, juicy and fleshy cherry fruit, quite tangy, medium weight, tobacco, clean and bright, red licorice, toasty, peppery.

With time, the wine became tangier and drying and revealed cranberry-like fruit, but still maintained its earlier richness.

A drying, tangy and peppery finish.

We have greatly enjoyed previous vintages of this wine, which is a teriffic value.

Purchased at $15.95 (Canadian).
