Absolutely at peak & utterly delicious with red fruit, leather, warm earth and spice all blended together in a silky cocktail of goodness. Stunningly good wine.

David,

I could copy your TN for the 1997 Felsina "Fontalloro" which I had last week.

Cheers,
Martin

I know I won;t be able to copy the note, but I hope the '97 Tignanello is in a similar stage.

Flaccianello is one of the great Tuscans. The 1990 was superb about 18 months ago.

We had the '94 last week. Splendid wine. Wish I had more.

I have had the pleasure of tasting 2004, 2000 and 1995 of this wine lately.

2004 was very young with some funny concrete dust on the nose. But packed with fruit. Guess it will turn out fine. 1995 was exellent with warm cherries, vanilla and oak. Good body, plenty of grip and a juicy finish. Life left for more years in the cellar. 2000 was more open, and a tad lighter than the 95. Really good too.
