I'm a big Seavey cabernet fan from Day 1, but I've never had a Caravina. I figured it was likely analogous to Laurel Glen's Counterpoint, the selected-out or young vine lots from the estate production. Counterpoint is, well, sort of too herby, thin or wirey for me most years, but your note makes Caravina sound better than most second wines to me.
This could be a good lower-cost way for me to stay active on Seavey's list. Thanks for the note.
