WTN: 2003 Holly's Hill Zinfandel

Deep red, medium bodied wine. The nose was one of red fruits and a hint of petroleum. But then..wham..the 15.4% alcohol makes its presence felt..It drowns the fruit and a few sips made us rather tipsy. Disappointing (Yes Jenise, I know what you are going to say), but I have had better from this winery before.

Yup, I too am very wary of these big alc Zins. Have not purchased many, local tasting bar gives me plenty of enjoyment by the glass.
