WTN: Cuvaison Carneros Pinot Noir 2005

Slightly deep color for Pinot. At first, sweet strawberry and chocolate aromas. Much later, fragrant wood and curry spices. Flavor of bittersweet chocolate with just a touch of smoky bacon. Juicy. Very smooth and friendly. A little bitterness on the finish which has decent length. 14% alcohol but no heat. Good balance. A good, solid Pinot Noir for drinking now.
Three be the things I shall never attain:
Envy, content, and sufficient champagne.
