WTN: 2002 Domaine Huet Vouvray Petillant

Saturday night we had a conundrum. Laura was having some lobster with lemon (the lobster meat being a surprise birthday gift from my folks), and I was having more (and more) turkey and trimmings.

Of course the compromise solution is always bubbles. We both became fans of the Huet Petillant a few years ago, and this bottle did not disappoint. A touch yeasty & a little wheat toasty, it also had lots of apple & citrus flavors, including a very appealing orange spritz on the finish. It's clearly young and with a significant life ahead of it, but also delicious right now.
