Bob,

We have this wine in the cellar. I will be waiting to hear the verdict.

I tried a different vintage of the Pisano, and it was an outstanding wine. The Huet should be great as well! Looking forward to the notes.

Store cancelled tasting so I grabbed some bottles and took over to the Grill where we had Nature Club social.

I am afraid to say that I was quite busy looking after the various desserts (ginger cake, chocolate cake etc), clearing plates, refilling water etc that I was unable to give many of the wines any real attention.

The Huet I found to be quite dry with lemon, unripe green apple and some minerality which I found hard to pinpoint. So I cannot say yeah or neagh! The Recioto I had not come across before and one taster told me "very nice.....blackberry...velvety....chocolate, raisins and figs" Could have been description for most Recioto on the shelf. So I am no help.
The Pisano I have tasted before, the previous vintage I think and same price $32 Cdn. One of the highlights of the year again for biased me but put away for a few years. Very black, huge centre, port-like/cranberry/chocolate/tannic/huge body/long finish/more chocolate/will last forever!

Sorry, that is the best I can do!
