Light gold colour showing lots of tropical fruit, vanilla and buttery oaky notes on the nose. More tropical fruits, citrus, melon, butter and vanilla flavours follow on the palate with fairly low acidity and a creamy, slightly flabby mouthfeel. Too much oak and too little acidity for my liking with some alcohol (14.5%) sticking out on the finish. I can see how others would really like this wine, but I found this quite boring and tiring to drink.

Try the Hyde vinyard offering. That seems to be the one that we like. Second goes to the Ritchie vinyard. Both of these are more French in style. Been a fan of these for a long time.
