2004 Eugenio Bocchino Nebbiolo d'Alba La Perucca - Italy, Piedmont, Alba, Nebbiolo d'Alba (11/29/2008)
Tried a bit when I opened and then decanted for 4 hours. The wine has an amber twinge to it. The aromatics never fully developed. They remained subtle, restrained and a bit musty. Wow, big gripping tannins at the start and finish. Interesting light flavors right through the middle. This wine was right in the pocket for my wife but some of our guests struggled with it. I found it very appealing but way too young. I would like to see more complexity but my guess is it will develop. There seems to be an abundance of fruit under the tannin. Showing light but I would not call it pretty. (91 pts.)

I picked up a few of these when winex blew them out ... not sure if it was a good price or not but at $16.99 I was very happy with my purchase. I'll try another and then save a few.
