WTN: '05 Hart's Wine Cellars Chardonnay (un-oaked)

by Carl Eppig » Fri Jan 02, 2009 8:16 pm

2005 Hart's Wine Cellars, Niagara-On-The Lakes, Chardonnay (un-oaked). Gift from a gererous friend. Tasted this one first at our get-to-gether last August, and brought this one home with others. It is still kicking around just fine, thank you.

It gave apples, pears, and lemons on the nose and upfront. The additional fruit and crisp acidity in middle, added up to a lovely finish.

It matched purrrrfectly with Liguini and Shimp in Lemon Oil. The very best wine and meal for the day after New Year's.

I'm going to have to get stingy with the '05. I only have a few left. But I've got a pretty good stash of the '07. Glad you enjoyed it.
Chico - Hey! This Bottle is empty!
Groucho - That's because it's dry Champagne.
