WTN: 2006 Chateau de Basty Beaujolais

13% alcohol
Having enjoyed a Chateau de Basty Regnie Beaujolais Cru on Christmas Day, I chose a glass of this Beaujolais to accompany my entree at Morgan's Chophouse. I figured a light red such as Beaujolais or a light Pinot Noir would be okay with the crabmeat, cheese and mushroom dish.
Attractive deep ruby color. Cherries and red berries on the nose; semi-transparent. Light and ethereal on the palate with cherry notes and perhaps a hint of blueberries. Medium-length finish. Did okay with the crab dish. I feel I can recommend Chateau de Basty wines based on my two experiences with them.
