Having just returned from Paris (brag  ) I can tell you the '07s are on all the supermarket shelves and drinking quite nicely. We had one with pizza that may have been the best 8 Euro bottle we had on the trip! Since we were trying to live on the cheap, an 8 Euro Loire red is a thing of beauty!
Yes, and how many deaths will it take 'til he knows
That too many people have died?
The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind
The answer is blowin' in the wind.

Which wine?

It might not mean much to you if you don't regularly travel to Europe, but you were a lot richer this past month in Europe spending USD than you would have been this summer. (I was in Europe for the holidays and all the Quick Mental Calculations I used this summer for converting GBP and Euros to USD were - thankfully - too high).

To answer your question, Bob, although everybody around us got flooded, here in Seattle we have been relatively dry, with only about four inches of rain. Sometimes we get lucky.

Rahsaan, I was too busy enjoying myself to take notes. We were in some little hole-in-the-wall pizza place in Croissy-sur-Seine. I can't remember the producer, but we drank a lot of good Loire red in Paris. It was one of the real fun parts about our two weeks. Fortunately my family loves them. I could not believe the values I got even with the dollar. The dollar definitely was stretching a bit farther than it would have in July though.
