Uco Valley, Mendoza
Finca Eugenio Bustos
Dark red in the glass.
Spicy, perfumed, cedar on the nose.
Light to medium bodied, spicy, raspberry, blackberry, black cherry, cranberry, red licorice, quite tangy, a mild bitter streak and drying toward the end.
Drying on the finish, with some sweet berry fruit.
The wine started out rather light and unimpressive, but really opened up with time, becoming fuller and richer.
Purchased at $13.95 (Canadian) and pretty good QPR.
