Wine on the web

Take a sip: For a one-stop Web site all about wine, check out http://www.winelovers page.com. It has it all: wine reviews, recipes and wine pairings, book recommendations, and links to dozens of other sites.

Ask a general question about wine or find out where a particular wine might be found. Look up past reviews. Learn how to taste wine. The discussions range from simple to complex, but are always friendly and never pretentious.

You can sign up for regular newsletters, the 30 Second Wine Advisor and Wine Advisor FoodLetter, all free and always informative.

This prodigious site is produced by Robin Garr, a restaurant, food and wine critic from Louisville, Ky. Not the first place you think of in the wine galaxy, but there you are.

Pop the cork on this one and savor it.
