Mezzacorona Teroldego Rotaliano Reserva 2005 13% abv; 10,20€

I was quite surprised at what a substantial wine I got - due to high taxation and Alko's phenomenally high margins it is almost impossible to cheap but good wines here. There is a tiny amount of oak showing through, but nothing that should disturb anyone but the most quercophobic amongst us. Herbal, dark and juicy fruit, deliciously tangy and vibrant despite the obvious ripeness of fruit. Lively and refreshingly herbaceous aftertaste. Fun! And it is a great relief to find a cheap wine that I will be happy to drink again.
I don't drink wine because of religious reasons ... only for other reasons.
