WTN: The White Viognier 2007

by Bruce Hayes » Mon Mar 02, 2009 7:16 pm

Berton Vineyards
South East Australia.

Dark yellow in the glass.

Honey, spicy and floral on the nose.

Very rich orange, tangerine and lime, honeyed, gently peppery, citrus rind tang, good acidity, floral, medium weight and a little viscous in the mouth.

A long, peppery, tangy finish.

A delicious wine.

Purchased at $14.95 (Canadian).

Screwcap closure.

I know. My wife commented on that aspect.

Dunno why it has such a dorky name. Nobody asked my opinion. I just know it tastes good.
