It's been several years since I tried a botlle of this and am pleased to report the wine drinks every bit as well as my fading memory recalls.

Solid medium blood red core with a lot of bricking in the edges. Classical Coonawarra red-dirt nose with abundant varietal sweet "weedy" blackcurrant fruit supported with well-judged amounts of well-integrated mint, sweet earth, creosote, road tar and high-quality savoury oak hovering in the background. The palate continues on a most similar thrust, mimicking the descriptors of the bouquet on a very attractive medium-bodied platform, excellent residual acidity and moderate melting polished tannins. This Outstanding red wine displays extremely good balance, optimal counterbalancing grip, most impressive carry and has reached a near-perfect point of maturity. A great effort from one of the very best vintages over the last several decades. 93 points. Drink now - 2014. 13.5% A/V.
Cheers,

David
