WTN: 1994 Verget Chablis GC Valmur

Impeccable condition- a spinner capsule, cork soaked about a third of the way.
A deepish yellow-gold color, but not the fatally brownish "tell" of fatal oxidation. This has a few oxidative/age notes but it carries them well. No sherry, no nuttiness, but a certain honeyed richness on the nose that betrays the 15 years of age.

This is absolutely delicious if you like your whites on the older side. It retains the oyster-blood brininess of Chablis, but the honeyed notes give it a richness that you don't find in the younger stuff... in fact, this is a dead ringer for oysters on the half-shell with mignonette sauce- it even has a faint whiff of VA to complete the effect. No fruit left here, but its not missed.

Very good, and good QPR- I bought this on an online auction for $20, and I've seen other bottles at a similar price.
