WTN: Saurus Patagonia Select Malbec 2005

by Bruce Hayes » Sun Mar 08, 2009 6:45 pm

San Patricio del Chañar, Neuquén, Patagonia
Familia Schroeder

Dark purple in the glass.

Rich berry fruit on the nose initially, and then drying.

Fleshy and juicy cherry, raspberry and blackberry, vanilla, spicy, tangy acidity, red licorice, medium weight, mouthfilling.

Peppery and drying on the finish.

Not a bad little wine and much, much better than a previous bottle.

Purchased at $14.85 (Canadian).
