WTN: 2007 Glenora Gewurtztraminer - Finger Lakes

by Howie Hart » Wed Mar 25, 2009 11:47 pm

I bought this at Thomas' recommendation when I met him for lunch at the Glenora Winery on the way to the offline in Philly last month. $15. Synthetic cork. Light straw color. A bit light on the nose upon pulling the cork, but it opened up in the glass with the aroma of a bag of spice gum drops. Bone dry with a crisp juiciness. Medium long finish and a great match with my chicken pot pie. Good wine.
Chico - Hey! This Bottle is empty!
Groucho - That's because it's dry Champagne.

I hope that is in my shipment from the Glenora Forbidden Fruits Club.

It's really getting hard to find a cork cork in the FL, isn't it? I would much rather see screw tops, but I guess that would be a big expence in this day and age.
