$11.95 at the LCBO. Solid, high-quality natural cork closure.

13.7% alc./vol. Lovely dark, saturated mulberry-garnet colour. It needed a few hours of decanting after being opened. Nice juicy raspberry and game on the nose with hints of confected American oak, but just enough and not over-the-top. Tight, firm entry with crisp acidity and a mid-palate tension that only shows once the wine gets some air (it tasted a bit thin immediately on opening - decant all young reds!!). Well-structured and chalky/grippy; nice spicy replays on the mid-palate. Very pleasant; medium-bodied but with decent stuffing down the centre and pleasant oaky replays into the finish.

A very good value and great with anything from pizza all the way to steak.
