1995 Charles Heidsieck Champagne Blanc des Millénaires - France, Champagne (4/13/2009)
Very fresh & lively - citrus, apple & yeasty tones. Not much in the way of development. Very long finish and quite clean/refreshing.

1998 Pride Mountain Vineyards Merlot - USA, California, North Coast, Napa / Sonoma (4/13/2009)
Warm, slightly roasted plum flavors. A little bit of vanilla & some drying tannins (artifact of the vintage). Actually quite good for a '98, but never going to be confused with a great wine.
