WTN: Drinking Wine

by Rahsaan » Sun Apr 19, 2009 10:22 pm

I found myself at a party last week that was stylish enough, but I was still worried about the wine. But, once they poured the 2007 Ecker Grüner Veltliner I realized I was going to be just fine. So drinkable, so refreshing, so mineral, so much pop and class and everything I wanted for a cocktail party.

Does anyone have experience with other bottlings from these folks?

Not a ton of experience (I think '06 was the first vintage imported), but I generally find them very enjoyable in a vein similar to the Huber bottlings. I don't look for serious, but for fun. A friend of mine drank up two cases of the '06 liter bottling & loved every sip.

Sounds about right, at least for this one.
