Peter Wylie Fine Wines - any experiences?

by Ryan M » Tue Apr 21, 2009 10:01 pm

Hello All,

Has anybody this side of the pond had experience with Peter Wylie Fine Wines? I believe they are somewhere around London. In particular, does anyone have experience with them shipping wines from the UK to the US?

Thanks,
Ryan

Never mind - got a response from them saying that while possible, current prices and regulations would make shipping to the US extremely difficult.

That's generally the issue & why almost nobody has experience with it.

Ryan
FWIW they've been around for a while and seem reputable - which perhaps tallies with them knowing what they can and can't do.

Sounds like all you Statesiders are hoovering up the mature stock over here

I've had several of their wines - all good quality. Very reliable (although I find they mark their prices up considerably from the auction prices I presume they paid - I've been outbid a couple of times for wines that appeared on their site shortly afterwards).
